This series will capture the transformation of rural land on Quarry Road to a 132,425SF three-story storage facility.

Wow! A lot can change in a month's time! This acreage changed from "starting to clear" and quickly moved to "stripped and pillaged". As you can see, these were taken during February's rainy period. And how would you like to hear all those truck start up around 7AM and the continuous rotations of exporting material?

This Sweetwater/Quarry Road connection will be redesigned once the work trucks get off the site. This elevation stake is a reference point for getting the grading just at the right level. That's some of the most beautiful equipment I've ever seen and needed to crush the rocks in lieu of dynamite!

Everything looks tip-top in the matter of construction etiquette: sand bags along the fence line; Construction Entrance (CE) plates to dislodge dirt, mud, rocks and asphalt between tire treads by flexing the truck tires (they help to remove debris from the job site on trucks and keep it off the roadways); and protective forms to keep the fire hydrant safe from vehicles.

Those are some BIG earth movers and that excavator is digging HUGE holes.

The basement area is retaining the rainfall. Later they will pump it out into their green area but NOT into the river. Look at how close that dam is! Now I remember why I passed on this property when I was looking for some nice land for my horses!
The March edition of this series will appear in a few weeks. I want to give this progression a little more time.
