Effective January 1, electric delivery charges on the SDG&E® portion of the bill are increasing about $4 per month compared to December for a typical customer.1 This change applies only to SDG&E’s delivery portion of your bill, which is the cost to deliver electricity to your home.
The SDG&E pricing change does not include any changes to the Community Choice Aggregator (CCA) costs for electric generation - the cost to purchase electricity on your behalf by your CCA. For details on your 2026 electric generation pricing, please contact your CCA provider.
Customers who also have natural gas service will see a natural gas bill increase of less than $2 per month.1
Supporting system safety and reliability
The 2026 pricing increase supports important upgrades to electric and gas delivery systems to protect lives, prevent disasters and advance a clean-energy future. We have worked hard to keep bills stable over the last two years, but, like other utilities and essential services, costs have continued to rise.
Taking steps to lower bills
Our priority is to keep bills as low as possible while delivering the safe, reliable energy you depend on every day. While working to manage our operating costs, we are also working with lawmakers and regulators to explore policy changes that could help lower bills. Our focus remains on finding solutions while staying committed to providing safe, reliable energy and outstanding customer service.
