We Need Problem Solvers, Not Politicians

I want to share why I’m running for Congress, and it really comes down to this: I’m a problem solver, not a politician.
For too long, Washington has been consumed with fighting, theatrics, and chasing clicks online. Meanwhile, families in California—and across America—are the ones paying the price. I believe government should help people when it can, and get out of the way when it harms them.
As a U.S. Navy Veteran, I know what it means to sign on the dotted line—you put your country before yourself. Those principles still guide me today. Whether as an Engineer Major, a Delta pilot for 34 years, or in public service, my career has always been about responsibility, teamwork, and getting the job done.

As Mayor of San Marcos for 12 years and now as your San Diego County Supervisor for 7 years, I’ve focused on solutions that make a real difference—lowering costs for seniors, expanding opportunities for families, and helping people achieve the American Dream. Not political grandstanding. Just results.
What’s missing in Washington isn’t more lawyers or career politicians—it’s leaders who know how to fix problems. Unfortunately, our current Congressman has fallen short of that standard. I’m running because we need someone willing to roll up their sleeves, put aside the drama, and focus on results that improve people’s lives.
I’m not interested in scoring political points. I’m interested in delivering solutions. That’s what real leadership looks like. And that’s exactly what I intend to bring to Congress.
I hope you’ll join me in this fight to restore common sense, protect our communities, and solve the problems holding America back.
