Tiny Homes Fought by Spring Valley Now Being Proposed for Lemon Grove

ree

The Tiny Homes proposal is still on the move. Originally slated for Troy Street and Sweetwater Road in Spring Valley, the Spring Valley Coalition sent a plea to then Supervisor Nora Vargas and she helped them move the homes out of the area in June of 2024.

Like a can being kicked down the road, the Tiny Homes are now being recommended for the Lemon Grove area.

Gilbert and Victoria Chavez of the Spring Valley Coalition 2024 recently sent out this email with the attached flyers:

"This email is regarding the Tiny Homes slated for Troy Street and Sweetwater Road.  The Lemon Grove Neighborhood Association is still fighting the placement of these Tiny Homes and they would like the support of the Spring Valley Coalition.
We agreed to support them by showing up to the next Lemon Grove City Council Meeting. Keep in mind that the Tiny Homes will still affect the Spring Valley community since they are our neighbors.  We need to let the Lemon Grove Council understand we cannot be the dumping ground for the Homeless problems of San Diego.
There is strength in numbers and if we can show our support for Lemon Grove, they would be extremely grateful.
Please open the attachment with all the necessary information of date and time.  If you cannot attend, signing the petition would be greatly appreciated.
There is a flyer in English and Spanish."

The Lemon Grove City Council Meeting will be held this Tuesday, March 4th, 2025 at 6 pm at the Alvarez Auditorium located at 3121 School Lane in Lemon Grove, CA. If you are able, please attend the meeting.

If you cannot, then please sign one of the petitions below using the QR Code.

We all need to stick together and help each other whenever we can. It could be our community next.
