Sixth Grade Student Appreciation Ceremony

The Bonita Optimist Club held their first of two annual Student Appreciation nights at Allen Elementary School on May 8, 2025.

Fifteen elementary schools participated.  Each school selected their best student of the year to honor at the Appreciation Ceremony.

The ceremony started with an invocation by Dr. Angie Hawkins and was followed by Tim Jeffries, BOC President, leading the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Sound Unlimited from Bonita Vista High School performed, led by Music Director Michael Attwood. The girls wore beautiful blue and silver dresses and the boys were decked out in black suits and blue ties.

The entire event was organized and chaired by Sally Gonzalez.  Dr. Eduardo Reyes, Superintendent of Chula Vista Elementary School District, was the honored guest.

All 15 students received $100 each and an Optimist International badge!  These amazing students were:
