Real Results: Our Beaches Are Reopening

ree

This is what progress looks like.

For too long, the Tijuana Sewage Crisis has devastated our coastline—closing beaches, threatening public health, and even forcing our Navy SEALs out of their training waters.

But after months of demanding accountability and working side by side with the EPA, we're finally seeing real change.

Beaches in Coronado, the Naval training areas, and up the coast are now safe to swim in.

The water is clean. The closures are being lifted.

We’re winning this fight—because we refused to stay silent.

This map says it all. Just weeks ago, these areas were unsafe. Now, they're open.

Make no mistake—this happened because we put pressure on Mexico to do their part. And in just a short amount of time, we’re seeing results.

Now, we still have work to do. Imperial Beach remains a priority, and I won’t rest until every community along our coast is safe.

But today, let’s take a moment to recognize how far we've come—and what happens when we push for action, demand accountability, and fight for the people we represent.

We’re not done yet. But we’re on the right track.
