Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service. We bring together leaders who dedicate their time and talent to make a difference in their community. We are good people having a good time doing good things!

Our club has been in service to our community for over fifty years - since 1971. The Bonita Kiwanis Club (and its 501(c)3 foundation) is dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects.
We are part of Kiwanis International, a world-wide organization of volunteers serving children for more than 100 years. Kiwanis is dedicated to improving the world . . . one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Bonita serves South San Diego area neighborhoods and schools. We meet on Thursdays at 7:00 AM at the Bonita Library Community Room, located at 4375 Bonita Road in Bonita.

On some occasions, such as coinciding holidays or visits to other clubs, we will not have a regular meeting. Please confirm by voice/text to 619-889-1457 before showing up.
Our meetings occur almost every Thursday and feature a lot of fun and a speaker on topics of interest to Kiwanians, our community, and general subjects. We strive to provide an excellent program to keep our members informed and enlightened on the world. Feel free to join us as our guest this week!
History
The Bonita Club is presently chartered as one of more than 7,700 clubs in 80 countries throughout the world.
The Kiwanis Club of Bonita was chartered on March 10, 1971. It was a spin-off from the Chula Vista Kiwanis Club. Several members of that club that lived or had interest in Bonita and the eastern side of Chula Vista formed the original club, which was called Chula Vista - East. They met at several locations in the area of Broadway Avenue, usually for lunch.
Later, because many members lived in the Bonita area, they decided to change the name to the Kiwanis Club of Bonita. As many members were working, the club decided to become a breakfast club and meet in the Bonita area. Over the years they met at the Wells Fargo Bank community room, Tomatoes Plus restaurant, the training room at the Bonita-Sunnyside Fire Station, the Bonita Golf Club, the Chula Vista Golf Club, at Glen Abbey facilities, and at their current location, the Bonita-Sunnyside Library community room.
The Bonita Club has provided four Division 11 Lt. Governors: John Orsini, Bill Sears, Randy Bellamy, and Fer Orozco. Division 11 is comprised of seven Kiwanis clubs from the City of San Diego down to and including Tijuana, Mexico.
