Supervisor Aguirre's comments on each item:


1. Sacramento needs to hear us when we say South Bay can’t breathe. These tours of the pollution site are designed to bring awareness and commitment to the issue. Most importantly, San Diegans deserve to know that whoever the next leader of this state is, that they will step up and act with urgency to address the sewage crisis. Read the story

  

2. Imperial Beach is resilient, and as we endure the sewage, I am proud to be a part in the collaborative fight this community continues to put forward. The Tijuana River pollution crisis touche every single aspect of life, and I won’t stop pushing for solutions. Read the story here.  

 

3. The County of San Diego hosted its 42nd Annual Springtime Blood Drive. One in seven people hospitalized need blood and blood banks supplying those hospitals often face shortages. Blood donations SAVE LIVES. If you can, please consider donating, you can find locations here. Read the story.
