If you haven’t already installed a water leak detection device at your home, you can get one for free ($250 value) from the SD County Water Authority. See below and please share with friends and neighbors.
Earlier this year, I installed a Flume on the water meter at my home and one at my parents’ home, and they have already proven both useful and insightful.
Also, this Saturday, June 28 (last Saturday of the month), is “wave in day” at The Water Conservation Garden near Cuyamaca Community College. Bring a copy of your local water bill for free admission — take a walk through the lovely gardens, explore the butterfly exhibit, and get ideas for drought-tolerant plants. The second Friday of each month is also free (July 11 being the next opportunity).
