The link below provides access to the initial draft of the Loveland Reservoir Trails Master Plan (LRTMP), prepared by KTUA in collaboration with Sweetwater Authority staff. The draft LRTMP is a planning‑level document intended to share early concepts and gather community input. It outlines a long‑term vision for safe, sustainable outdoor recreation around Loveland Reservoir and identifies a range of potential future trails and staging areas within a 4,360‑acre study area.

To ensure full transparency for all community members:

  • This draft does not approve or authorize any new trails or facilities.

  • No construction or implementation decisions are being made at this time.

  • Any future project identified in the LRTMP would require additional funding, environmental review, public and stakeholder engagement, and formal Board consideration before moving forward.

  • The draft is being shared now specifically so the public can review it and provide input before any next steps are considered.

Sweetwater Authority is currently accepting public comments on the draft LRTMP. Please submit comments by June 5, 2026 to environmental@sweetwater.org for consideration in the next revision.

Sweetwater Authority is also planning a community meeting during the third week of June to discuss the draft LRTMP, answer questions, and receive additional feedback. The exact date, time, and location will be announced once confirmed. If you have immediate questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly.
