I don't know if you're in construction or know anyone who is, but your tools are everything.

You purchase them whenever you have a little extra cash and each tool allows you greater expertise in your field. Little by little, you acquire enough tools that you have enough to make a decent living for you and your family.

That was all destroyed for a family in Bonita in the early hours of August 23rd.

A silver Nissan Altima (early 2000s)—driven by people with bad intentions—drove down this street and stole all the tools from the victim's work truck. The tools were double-locked in their tool boxes but that didn't stop these pirates.

"Whoever was in this vehicle stole over 30 power tools from my husband's work truck between 1:50-2:00AM this morning in Bonita. This is the second theft. About 2 months ago his Milwaukee pack outs were stolen from the bed of his truck. This time they busted the primary and secondary locks on his truck's tool boxes and stole every single power tool. This loss directly affects my husband's career and our families livelihood. Be safe out there and protect your families!! If anybody happens to recognize this car (it's a long shot) or had a similar incident, please respond. A police report has been filed."

This larceny took place in Bonita near the neighborhood cross-streets of Briarwood Road and Bonita Woods Drive.

It's pretty bad when you can't park your vehicle on the street in front of your home without having to worry about thievery.
