National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has scheduled a National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day which will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

This is a great opportunity for those who have accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications.

Don't Flush

When prescription medicines are flushed down the toilet and enter our sewer system, water treatment facilities generally do not remove these toxins and end up in our watersheds.

Use a Safe Disposal Method

Fortunately, safe disposal methods are becoming readily available in many areas. In addition to collection receptacles at most sheriffs stations and take-back events, safe medication disposal units are located at pharmacy locations across Southern California.
