Repairs to the Tijuana Aqueduct are Expected to be Completed by Midnight

The Río Colorado-Tijuana Aqueduct is a 78-mile-long pipeline system that supplies 90% to 98% of the water for Tijuana, Tecate, Rosarito, and Ensenada from the Colorado River.

Water restoration could take up to five days.



Speaking to the media at the site where the work is being carried out, the director of the agency, Mónica Vega Aguirre, explained that the breakdown forced the suspension of the operation of the aqueduct, affecting just over 600 neighborhoods in Tijuana and Playas de Rosarito.
