"Due to a joint fleet training exercise off the coast of Southern California, you may notice increased jet activity during evening hours, including possible late‑night arrivals on Runway 29 at NAS North Island from Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8, 2025.

These operations are essential for fleet training and readiness. Runway 29 will be used to deconflict with arrivals and departures at San Diego International Airport and to help air traffic controllers safely manage overall air traffic flow.
