New Alternatives Holds Graduation Ceremony

The New Alternatives graduation was a lovely event that was held on March 14th at their center.   

The kiddos seemed to enjoy it and responded positively to the event. The graduate, Sean, was very happy. He was accompanied by his support people which are his guidance counselor, therapist, and grandmother (who happens to be an optimist member from a different chapter).  Sean gave a us a prewritten thank you speech.

Optimist members in attendance were President Tim Jeffries, Luz Aguirre, Isela, Dr. Angie Hawkins, Doug Hawkins, Rebecca Carrillo, Ralph Munoz and Armony Marin. The Bonita Optimists awarded him a scholarship of $500, a cake, cards and words of wisdom and encouragement on sheets of paper for him to read in the future.
