Mark Your Calendar for "Miss Sweetwater Valley"

This 46th Annual Bonitafest Melodrama —written and directed by Dr. Max Branscomb—begins on Friday, September 27th and runs through Monday, September 30th. Kerie Muller directs.

According to Dr. Branscomb, " 'Miss Sweetwater Valley''is based on the true story of the 1991 Miss Bonita Pageant when the winner was stripped of the title because she was 17 days too old to compete in the Del Mar Fairest of the Fair pageant. It caused quite a controversy in the community. In my version, of course, we blame the chaos on our villains Cadwell and Lickpenny.

We have a terrific cast led by gifted recording artist Kieler Avery and the 15-year-old genius Ella Aldridge, who has been brilliant in rehearsals. It's a family friendly show and has lots of good music. I can't wait for opening night."

Be in your seat by 7:30PM at the Sweetwater Valley Community Church. You won't want to miss a moment of Dr. Branscomb's newest melodrama.
