Just When You Thought It Was Safe to Go Back Into the Skies . . .

Another plane crash, this one nearby . . . right off the coast of Point Loma. A Cessna 414, with six passengers aboard, had just taken off and was headed to Sky Harbor in Phoenix, Arizona.
In late May, a Cessna crashed in Kearny Mesa. It was less than three miles from Montgomery Field Airport and coming in for a landing. All six aboard were killed.
