Community partners have been collaborating to create a "sister sign" to the KINDNESS MATTERS display installed in Carlsbad in 2023. The display was created by Kids for Peace and is shown below.

With that goal in mind, the project began.

The Kindness Club had a painting activity this past Saturday. Featured below are a few of the in-progress photos!
Students from 15 local schools met on Saturday, October 25 at a local Chula Vista school to transfer their designs from paper to paint on 5- and 8-foot-tall letters.

"“These contributions show the power of community. When everyone gives a little and lends a hand, we can accomplish a lot together. Acts of kindness don’t have to cost anything. Simple gestures like smiling at others and holding a door open demonstrate that we see each other as fellow humans.”—Tim Jeffries, President of the Bonita Optimist Foundation, the fiscal sponsor for The Kindness Club
This project was achieved with the kindness of the following community organizations and businesses.

World Kindness Day is November 13 and Kindness Week Worldwide is November 8-15.
