Although our name implies Chula Vista, the Chula Vista Genealogical Society finds the Bonita-Sunnyside Library accommodating for our monthly in-person meetings.
"Genealogy is the study of family history and the tracing of family lineages. It involves researching and documenting the relationships between individuals, often using historical records and other sources to create family trees or narratives. The core purpose of genealogy is to understand one's ancestry and heritage." —AI Overview
Our next in-person Education group meeting is Tuesday, August 19 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at the Bonita-Sunnyside Library in the community room. There is no charge. We welcome beginners and all levels of researchers. This month's focus is "How Facebook Can Support Genealogy Research."

There are three more meetings monthly, these via Zoom:
A DNA group
A Research group
A renowned paid-guest presenter.
They are Wednesdays, from 12:00-2:00 P.M. All are free, and we do have memberships for $30.
For more details, visit the CVGS website.
