Love Rohr Park? Help us make it even better!

To find out what the Master Plan may hold in store, attend the Rohr Park Community Workshop this Saturday, May 31st at 4548 Sweetwater Road, Bonita 91902. The Pop Up Event will take place near the Dog Park area.

History of Rohr Park

Rohr Park was constructed on the flood plain of the Sweetwater River and was acquired through the generosity of Mr. Fred H. Rohr.

This development has offered the City the opportunity to use an imaginative theme to blend the stately Rohr Manor Building, picnic areas, gazebos, and creative play areas with a model railroad truck installed by the Chula Vista Live Steamers, Inc., thus creating a spectacular park setting for the City of Chula Vista and the surrounding neighborhood area of Bonita.

Why Now?

The Master Plan is needed now to proactively address the evolving recreational needs of the Chula Vista community, guide investment in aging park infrastructure, and ensure Rohr Park continues to serve as a safe, inclusive, and vibrant destination for current and future generations.

Your Voice Matters!

Hearing from the people who live in Chula Vista and use the park is important to create a Master Plan that works for everyone. We want to hear your ideas, and there are many ways you can learn more and share your thoughts! Together, we can create a future for Rohr Park that reflects our values, meets our needs, and keeps our community thriving.
