Harriet Taylor Runs for Seat on SCPG
Harriet Taylor is running for re-election to the Sweetwater Community Planning Group in November 2026.
She will continue in her efforts to preserve our Bonita/Sunnyside community.
With her husband John, they formed the resident’s group "Preserve South Bay" responding to the SR 125 toll road development through our community. This group’s efforts resulted in a settlement that provided community improvements including the Little League ball fields, the horse bridge over the SR 125 toll road and additional camp sites and improvements in Summit Park campground.
In 2023, Harriet was Grand Marshall of the Bonitafest Parade and Event.
San Diego County recognized her in 2024 as Volunteer of the Year for San Diego County Planning & Development Services with over 2000 hours of service.
Harriet will continue to preserve the Rohr Park Horse Arena and fight overdevelopment of the park and our community.
