This is what past cell phone notifications looked like.

As part of our commitment to providing you with safe and reliable service, SDG&E® will be conducting a test of our emergency notification systems on Tuesday, September 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

During this time, you may receive a test notification by phone, text and/or email. Phone calls may appear as SDG&E or display 1-858-868-4586 for some mobile providers. Text messages will come from 73434, and emails will come from notices@sdge.com.

Rest assured, all messages will be clearly marked as TEST.

Why We’re Testing

Testing our emergency notification systems is an essential part of our Emergency and Disaster Preparedness Plan. These systems help ensure we can continue to provide you and local safety partners with real-time, reliable information during real emergencies.

Manage Your Notifications Preferences

To ensure you receive emergency communications and updates about your energy service, billing notifications and energy-saving tips, please review and update your contact information and preferences at MyEnergyCenter.com.

If you do not receive a test notification during the scheduled window, please verify that your contact information is up to date in your My Energy Center profile.

Thank you for helping us strengthen regional preparedness and keep our communities safe.
