Back in 1976, six young women rode their horses in the Bonitafest Parade. They called themselves "The Buckskin Beauties of Bonita".
This Buckskin Beauty rode her horse "JD" in the parade. He was adorned with bells & feathers around his fetlocks and handprints & symbols on his torso.
The Beauty (pictured above) still lives in Bonita. Can anyone Identify her?

We no longer have the big parade down Bonita Road but we do have the Twilight Parade. It takes place on the evening of Saturday, September 20th.
Walk, skip, push your stroller or ride your horse from the Sunnyside Arena in Rohr Park to the Bonita Sunnyside Library. The Twilight Parade will leave the arena at about 6PM, directed by the parade organizers. It's always a fun outing!
