CORRECTION: Our last email mistakenly identified the 15-unit Bonus ADU project as being in Rolando, when in fact it is in Redwood Village.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Where is Redwood Village? Redwood Village's borders are defined by 54th street to the West, University Avenue to the North, College Avenue to the East, and Streamview Drive to the South.
Redwood Village is a neighborhood of the Mid-City region of San Diego, California. Formerly known as Darnall, on June 7, 2007, residents voted to change the name of the neighborhood to Redwood Village. It is a mostly residential neighborhood, with the exception of the area south of University Avenue which is home to the University Square Shopping Center.
Neighbors For A Better San Diego is going up before the San Diego City Council who will vote on the Planning Department's latest amendments to the Bonus ADU program. You remember the Planning Department . . . they gave Bonita its first MEGA storage facility to be built in a quiet rural-residential neighborhood on Quarry Road.
Now they're pushing these MEGA ADU projects in currently low-noise neighborhoods.
"San Diego's Bonus ADU program has allowed 15+ Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) to be packed behind homes, such as the project shown below in Redwood Village, which sits on a narrow cul-de-sac."—Neighbors For A Better San Diego

I know that this isn't in our neighborhood. But we need to stand together and help each other out. If this new concept doesn't get the brakes put on, it WILL be in our neighborhoods sooner or later. This group is fighting hard for all of us. Please return the favor by filling out a comment form or donating.
