Looking for something fun to do next weekend with your kids? Or to grab some "me" time for yourself?
This Riding Clinic takes place at Rohr Park Horse Arena and you can have front row seats to watch a top notch trainer teach riders and their horses valuable skills. There is no charge for being a spectator and there hasn't been an event like this in our park for quite some time. Show your support of keeping our local horse arena and enjoy some free entertainment! Share your good fortune and bring a friend (or two)!
On Saturday, March 21, 2026, Bonita Valley Horsemen will be hosting a Ranch Riding Clinic with Melissa Shonholtz. The event will take place at Rohr Park—4548 Sweetwater Road—from 10AM to 1PM.
The entrance to the Horse Arena parking lot is located a little east of the main park at approximately 4741 Sweetwater Road and just east of Bonita Valley Baptist Church (which is on the opposite side of the street).
The entrance looks like this:

There is the Rohr Park sign but no marking indicating that you are at the horse arena.

Only one spot remains and the cost is $25 per person. Call Janeen Reed at 619.549.9385 to reserve your place if you and your horse would like to participate in this Riding Clinic!

Spectators are welcome to come watch the show at no cost. Seating is available on the bleachers or you may bring your own chair.
A Hot Dog Lunch will be available for a mere $5. Spectators are welcome to participate in the lunch. Last time I enjoyed the BVH hot dog lunch it included the hot dog and bun, potato salad, baked beans, green salad and desserts. Well worth the $5!
Come mingle with your community and enjoy the show!
