Assemblymember Makes Request to SDC Sheriff for More Presence in Bonita and Lincoln Acres

Ernesto Castañeda was a welcome sight at the the July Sweetwater Community Planning Group meeting. You might remember him as the representative for Nora Vargas until she left. After that, he still attended the SCPG meetings on a regular basis and reported on County issues.
He attended this month's SCPG meeting and let us know that he had been hired by David Alvarez's office. Mr. Alvarez is the Assemblymember for the Eightieth District.
Ernesto informed us that he had spoke to Assemblymember Alvarez about some issues in Bonita and Lincoln Heights and a letter had been written to San Diego County Sheriff Kelly Martinez. Here it is:

Ernesto added "Our office has a follow-up meeting scheduled with the Sheriff’s Department next week to continue the conversation. As always, I welcome any additional input and am happy to elevate any other neighborhood concerns to the Assemblymember."
The 80th Assembly District includes the communities of Barrio Logan, Logan Heights, Sherman Heights, Lincoln Acres, Bonita, Otay Mesa and San Ysidro, along with the cities of Chula Vista, National City and Imperial Beach.
