2025 BVGC Plant Sale a Monumental Success!

As you may or may not know, Bonita Valley Garden Club is famous for their Plant Sale held at the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center in the Spring. Club member and Bonita resident Jackie Riekstins is a plant guru and organized this year's sale with a bevy of club members.

It's always a big hit with a plethora of plant species—from vegetables to succulents to exotics and more— all at incredible prices.

The community patiently awaits the Plant Sale each year. They know it's coming and watch for signs— posted around town—announcing the date. It was no different this year with eager plant purchasers lining up at the gate in anticipation for the sale to begin!

The Garden Club works for months collecting and growing the plants that will be sold.

This year, even the rain wouldn't keep the enthusiastic people away from looking for those desired plants!

The Bonita Valley Garden Club provides scholarships for students majoring in the horticultural fields of Landscape and Nursery Technology at Southwestern and Cuyamaca colleges. If you are a student at either college, be sure to check their websites for scholarship applications.
